Our Vision and Missions
The Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation (HKBCF) was set up on 8 March 2005, as a non-profit charitable organisation dedicated to mitigating the threat of breast cancer to the local community through education, patient support and research & advocacy. The HKBCF is operated by Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation Limited.
I was pregnant when diagnosed with breast cancer
"Life itself is so fragile. If you lose your health you lose your career, or even the
ability to take care of your family. Yet, being sick has got me reflecting upon the
meaning of life," muses Gigi as she reflects on life after breast cancer.
Burden of Drugs
“Here’s what I wake up to every day: a dose of drugs that costs HK$400 a day – it’s
just too hard to swallow,” said 3-time relapse breast cancer patient Ms. Li, who is
receiving two different targeted therapy drugs to keep her condition in check.
Family support keeps me moving on!
“It’s been 10 years. I dare not say I’ve combated it and won completely, yet I’ve
learnt how to live my life fully!” says Vivian, who has fought breast cancer twice.
